Welcome to the home page for the Algonquin Regional High School Band and Orchestra program. The Instrumental Music program at Algonquin features the Concert Band (grade 9), Symphonic Band (grades 10/11/12), Wind Ensemble (grades 11/12), and String Orchestra (grades 9-12). All of these Ensembles meet during the school day for full academic credit. There are approximately 250 students involved in the instrumental music program at Algonquin.

There are also two Jazz Ensembles and a Full Orchestra which meet regularly after school. In addition, there are numerous opportunities to participate in small instrumental ensembles.

MEMORIAL DAY INFORMATION

Marching Band students must report to ARHS at 8am on Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day Parade Activities. Please arrive in uniform, and ready to get on the bus. Southborough students have the option to meet the band at 8:30am at the Marlboro Savings Bank in the center of town.

All students should bring a lunch/snacks with them. We will stop at ARHS betwen the morning and afternoon parades to cool off in the shade, have something to eat and rest-up. If parents would like to drop something off at this time, we anticipate arriving for our break at ARHS at 10:45am

After our break, we will all travel by bus to the Northborough Parade. We anticipate finishing the parade and returning to ARHS around 1:45pm.

All students should return to ARHS on the bus, as we will be collecting uniforms at this time.

Please be sure to have:

Uniform- pants, jacket, cape

Hat & Hat Box

We are still looking for parent volunteers to help out with water. We have the water, we just need some parents to follow the group on the parade route with a cooler/wagon to provide water for the kids. Please contact Mrs Collins- acollins@nsboro.k12.ma.us or Mr. Vincent- evincent@nsboro.k12.ma.us
